Fighting Frost with Fire
A late frost threatens a commercial cherry orchard. Smoldering fires produce lots of smoke which is then blown through the orchard with huge tractor-driven fans in the hope that some of the crop can be saved. It's ironic that there is such beauty along with such damage.

A very foggy morning, I could barely see this creature but managed to capture him with a long lens. I did a lot of experimenting with photoshop to bring out some detail (along with a lot of "noise"), but overall I like the effect.
